Our Care story
They say that when you set out to do something good, the universe conspires in helping you achieve it. That is how our story started with simple onsets and an intent to build 'A Community of Love'.
We understand that it is challenging for the NRIs to take care of their parents while they are away because we ourselves faced several challenges while taking care of our parents' needs, living abroad. We know that you constantly wonder how you can provide for the requirements of your senior parents despite the geographical distance.
With age, your parents need someone by their side to assist them with the mundane tasks such as home maintenance, taking medication on time, visiting the doctor or even day-to-day chores.
We designed the services at 'MyFamilyCare', keeping in mind the practical problems that the elderly face every day. We are determined to create a wholesome and caring environment for the elderly. Through this community of love, we wish to simplify the three common challenges faced by NRIs, and we call them the 3D’s - distance, different timezone, and dependencies.

Our Team
Vanita is a qualified Finance professional with over a decade of international experience managing Finance & Business Operations. She has worked in overseas locations and graduated in finance and accounting. Being based in Hong Kong, she remotely supported her elderly parents and in-laws in India. MyFamilyCare was born from her experience of staying away from aging parents amidst the pandemic. Owing to her zeal to give back to society, Vanita decided to co-found MyFamilyCare for the happiness of the elderly. Her expertise and unparalleled dedication aim to foster innovation and transform the eldercare practice in India.
Vanita Dharmani Co-Founder and Chairman
Ratan is a serial entrepreneur with over two decades of startup experience in international technology business, manufacturing & operations. Born and based in Mumbai, Ratan completed his degree in Electronics Engineering and went on to start companies that have delivered products and services to customers in India as well as several Asia Pacific countries like China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. For all his friends, he is the go-to guy, a trusted problem solver and a reliable friend. He decided to co-found My Family Care to ensure the wellbeing of elderly
Ratan Dulani Co-Founder and CEO
Mahendra is a San Francisco based investor focussed on early stage high technology companies. Amidst the COVID pandemic, he became acutely aware of the challenges being faced in India and teamed up with his childhood friends to address the difficulties being faced by both - Indians as well as those abroad trying to help family members based in India. He has authored two books on venture capital and startups - “The Business of Venture Capital” (Wiley Finance, 2021) and “Startup Boards” (Wiley, 2014) co-authored with noted investor Brad Feld. His articles have been published in Forbes, TechCrunch, MIT Technology Review and Huffington Post. His educational background includes a B.Engg (Electronics) and MBA (Finance and Marketing) from University of Pune, India. He was born in Nashik, India and has worked in Mumbai, Singapore and USA.
